Sorry for the frantic reply, I am under certain presurres - I hope you understand. I want to use Mozilla Firefox as the default - but I need to be able to fix or create a work around that allows me to pursue my job hunt ASAP - vital that I have access to the many links and resources I have in this one very large excel workbook - it has approx 18 work sheets, and 100-1000's of useful hyperlinks that I need to get access to. So I did fix the email think by switching back to IE6. The email link is working - if I use IE6 as the defult and it does the "%40" in place of if gmail is operating within Mozilla Fiefox. In my frustration I uninstalled IE7 and then tried to set IE6 as the defult - to see if the hyperlink and email link would correct it did not.
Cannot locate the Internet server or proxy server. I am registered with KITI list - ie job listings forwarded via email = I click on the reply email it brings up my gmail, and then in place of the sign it switches it out with a "%40" - so I have to manually change this to I am working within an Excel document - with a lot of hyperlinks - to links to articles, and company web sites - via fortune, money, inc, yahoo, google etc - so I need to click the hyperlink to go to the destination review the info and then compose documents - I get the above. Two things are happening - ((( I am in the middle of a HUGE job hunt - so I am emailing a lot)))ġ.

I also installed MS Defender during the same update - I noticed a real big slow down - so I at that time decided to switch defult browser to Mozilla Firefox - and turn off Defender. I had recently gone through a MS automatic update - where I was advised to upgrade to IE7 which I did.
